Traits and Feats
Half-Orc Traits Orc Ferocity: Once per day, when a half-orc is brought below 0 hit points but not killed, he can fight on for 1 more round as if disabled. At the end of his next turn, unless brought to above 0 hit points, he immediately falls unconscious and begins dying.
Darkvision: Half-orcs can see in the dark up to 60 feet.
City-Raised: City-raised half-orcs are proficient with whips and longswords, and receive a +2 racial bonus on Knowledge (local) checks. This racial trait replaces weapon familiarity.
Scavenger: Half-orcs with this racial trait receive a +2 racial bonus on Appraise checks and on Perception checks to find hidden objects (including traps and secret doors), determine whether food is spoiled, or identify a potion by taste. This racial trait replaces the intimidating trait.
Orc Blood: Half-orcs count as both humans and orcs for any effect related to race.
Black Sheep You gain a +1 trait bonus on Knowledge (local) checks, and Knowledge (local) is a class skill for you. In addition, you can choose any one notorious citizen from below as an ally; depending on the person you pick, you’ll get different benefits.
Apothecary: You start the game with 400 gp worth of poison, and the apothecarist will continue to sell you poison as long as you don’t spread the word.
Pirate You gain a +1 trait bonus on Knowledge (geography) checks and Profession (sailor) checks, and one of these skills becomes a class skill for you.
Power Attack Take –1 on all melee attack rolls and combat maneuver checks to gain a +2 bonus on all melee damage rolls. Increased by 50% with a two-handed. Halved if with an off-hand weapon. When BAB reaches +4, and every 4 points thereafter, penalty increases by –1 and the bonus to damage increases by +2. Effects last until your next turn.
Special Abilities
Rage ( 7 rounds/day ) Free action; rage is renewed after resting for 8 hours. +4 morale bonus to str and con; +2 morale bonus on will saves; –2 penalty to AC. Gained HP not lost first. Cannot use any Cha-, Dex-, or Int-based skills (except Acrobatics, Fly, Intimidate, and Ride) or any ability that requires patience or concentration. Free action to end, fatigued after for 2X the number of rounds spent in rage. Cannot enter a new rage while fatigued or exhausted. If a barbarian falls unconscious, rage immediately ends.
Fast Movement A barbarian’s land speed is faster than the norm for her race by +10 feet. This benefit applies only when he is wearing no armor, light armor, or medium armor, and not carrying a heavy load. Apply this bonus before modifying the barbarian’s speed because of any load carried or armor worn. This bonus stacks with any other bonuses to the barbarian’s land speed.
